What is AssistedLivingFacilities.org?

AssistedLivingFacilities.org was created to fill a need that exists in the senior care industry. Over the last few decades, assisted living has emerged as a popular senior living option that offers more freedom than a typical nursing home while still offering seniors various care and daily living assistance. Each state licenses assisted living facilities differently, there does not yet exist a national set of standards for assisted living.

AssistedLivingFacilities.org was created to offer a nationwide resource of assisted living information. We have put together an assisted living directory that lists each state's licensed assisted living residences. The states may have different terms for assisted living, such as residential care, as well as different license requirements. In general, most assisted living communities offer a similar type of support and care, but there are differences between states and even within states.

Our goal is to create the most informative and helpful resource for assisted living for seniors in the United States. We will strive to create a helpful, useful destination that can be used to ask and answer assisted living questions, to rate and view ratings on licensed assisted living facilities and to educate consumers on the assisted living industry. The ultimate purpose of AssistedLivingFacilities.org is to help seniors and their caretakers find the best senior living option for their needs.
