My mother has been in the La Loma Care Center three times now. Her only complaint is that the beds are a little "lumpy". The care is excellent and the people are great. I've had not so good experiences dealing with senior care centers in Florida. So I know what bad really is. The whole nature of the business can be challenging. La Loma does a great job in my opinion.

My dad had to go after his knee replacement and I have to say that there were some nice nurses and a few in physical therapy that were great but the place and management are horrible! I would NEVER recommend this place. His discharge was going to take over a week so they could milk his insurance as long as they could.

It was the worst feeling in the world having to get an emergency phone call from a stressed out family member in there care asking to leave . Some of the staff did care and were friendly, but for the most part they were unorganized. My family member was consistantly ignored for 15 to 30 minutes after hitting the call button. On most visits I had to assist my family member with using the bathroom, adjusting a bed with broken controls, and other basic tasks.

It has been a very long time since I have observed the kind of racial Prejudice that has been displayed at your facility from the top all the way to the bottom your staff has made it very difficult to find any kind of positive energy in your facility from the day that you started with the underhand that are less than professional tactics it has been amazing to watch I say this not because of myself I say this from an outside Observer who came to see your facility and was met with instant "my God is she from a foreign country is she from another planet "that was the kind of reception that she got and when she asked for a resident someone didn't even turn around and said they're upstairs what kind of place are you running. Your manipulation and telling of life is something that one would hope not to know that this is happening in America in this Century however it is happening and I would like for you to know that notes have been taken it's not the point that anybody is oblivious and don't know what to do yes people do know how to deal with a racial bigot. Thank you La Loma Care Center for an exercise in racism 101 thank you very much it will go a long way
