I was very pleased to see that my cousin, Kathy Evans was staying at Springdale Village. As a Eucharistic Minister taking communion to the residents I have had the opportunity visit other facilities. There is no comparison to other facilities in the area. There was pleasant staff. We were visitors from 2:30 pm to approximately 6:30. During that time the staff completed their responsibilities in a cordial manner and did not make us feel "in the way". The facility was clean and pleasant and odorless. I would highly recommend Springdale Village.

Scary bad. They made my mom wait 3 hours after eating to take her insulin. Not surprisingly her blood sugar was over 300 2 nights in a row. I complained and was told that was how they do it. I had to have her doctors call and change her orders but they still didn't do it right. There was 2 nights that they gave her insulin 3 hours late. When she was discharged she was given medication that she wasn't prescribed and 3 medications were not even listed on her discharge paperwork. One medication was shorted. She was given 4 pills for a medication that she is supposed to take 3 times a day. They advised to wait till Monday for more. She was discharged on a Friday ! I'm going to file a complaint with the health department so they don't kill people!

Written by Wendy Glass: I truly amazes me that this place is around. My partner was there for a week and each day I saw something new going on or hearing something or seeing it for my own eyes. The nurses didn't give meds on time, one nurse tried to add another medication and just said all the people are taking it. The food was never on time or they forgot to ask her want she wanted. PT and OT we're a joke. They only worked 20 minutes with her and never showed her how to use a cane or anything else. The social worker I spoke to yeateyest was rude, went and told my partner I didn't want her home and that she needed to see a psychiatrist. Who is she to diagnose that. They only get showers 2 times a week and when you are walking down the hallways it smells like piss and poop. The nurses are overworked and this place is short staffed. I work in the medical field and I don't see any patient care at all. Some of the nurses are good and some suck. I can say the social worker was rude and I will be reporting that incident as well. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. I will let DES know to take this place off the list and I will also call Medicare.
