I placed my mother in this facility almost a year ago and she's happier than she's ever been since my dad died three years ago. The staff is loving and caring and makes me feel like part of their family. They were very helpful and supportive to my family during the difficult transition of placing my mom in a home, and they continue to be attentive and responsive to my mom's needs. They've managed to stabilize her unique medical and emotional needs and she's even been able to keep her dog with her. I'm so relieved to have found this place for my mom. She finally seems to be thriving and happy again.

This facility over works their workers. 15-20 residents to one aid is ridiculous. The aides also do the stocking and cleaning of many areas and bathrooms at night on top of caring for all of these residents between three aides out of almost 100 residents on one Hall. Aides are paid at 10.00 an hour to do strenuous work to start and it is unfair. Just a visitor. Go elsewhere!

I recently moved to Arizona and after playing piano for 3 years at another Silverado facility in California I have just started to play for the residents of the Scottsdale facility. This is a beautiful facility and the personnel are very caring and professional. I really enjoy entertaining the residents and can see that music, the universal language brings them great joy and relaxation. If I had a loved one in need of memory care Silverado would be my first choice.

So Regret Placing My Dad Here. Seemed like a great place, but then they sent my dad to a psychiatric hospital almost an hour away, without authorization, they didn't even have a brochure of the place he'd been sent to much less know the ratings of that facility. You'd think a place that considers itself a care facility for Alzheimer's patients (and is insanely expensive) would know how to take care of their patients better. So now my dad is in a psych hospital that SILVERADO MEMORY CARE knows nothing about. I spoke face-to-face with a Director at Silverado to try to find out what's happening with my dad, when I discovered Silverado didn't know anything about that other facility I asked her, "Don't you think this is a problem that you don't know?" She said no. I asked for a copy of the contract that my mom had signed when my dad moved in, thinking well maybe mom signed off on this and didn't realize it. Once the contract was in my hands I asked the Director - where is the section on transferring and transporting patients? Her answer, "Oh, that's not covered in there." Really? So you can ship my dad wherever and his rights aren't even covered in the contract? Wow. Bottom line, Silverado thinks it's OK to ship off their patients to unknown places without even checking credentials themselves, much less supplying that information to the family. So mad, and so worried about my dad right now. Please don't end up in the same situation - do not choose Silverado.
