Gentle Care Home has been a wonderful haven! The home, with only 5 residents, is just what we wanted for Mom. Other facilities were more like hospitals than 'Home', and it was an important factor since Mom was reluctant to give up her own home. When the day finally came, Mom was welcomed warmly by Daniela and has been patiently and attentively cared for 24 hours per day since then. We found it comforting when we saw for ourselves that if anything as much as fell on the floor, someone would come running to help. The food has been great as well, and the inside and outside are clean and immaculately maintained (seriously!). We were worried about obtaining other services needed while in the Home, but physical therapists and beauticians are well-coordinated and welcomed, which has helped us tremendously. We would wholeheartedly recommend Gentle Care Home for your own loved one!

My wife and I are very happy and pleased with our decision to move my mother (97 yrs old) to Gentle Care Home. She had lived at an Independent care facility and declined where more care was needed. The home is exceptionally clean and the staff very attentive and caring who strive for excellence. There is as much "hands on" care as is needed for each day. Communication is good by phone, fax or e-mail. Daniela is well known and liked by the necessary support people : Doctor's, paramedics and Hospice. Rob and Denise V. t

My family and I couldn't be happier with Gentle Care home. After having my Mom at a care facility in Sun City, I realized she needed more personalized care. We were so impressed with Daniela and staff, we moved her right in. She has been with Gentle Care for 10 months now, and no matter when we go to visit, we find the same immaculate housekeeping, well balanced homemade food, and wonderful care.

Recently while visiting my mother at Gentle Care Home, a hospice nurse mentioned that she would place her mother here because the care is exceptional. I live in CA and know in my heart my mother is receiving the best care possible. A professional staff of four, resident care is their priority. The staff act on our behalf as a liaison to medical providers, doctor appointments, medicines, transportation, meals, bathing and around the clock care. You really can't do better than Gentle Care home. You will always feel welcomed visiting your loved one here.

My mother lived at the Gentle Care Home for 3 1/2 years. I selected Gentle Care Home based on my 40 plus year experience as a Registered Nurse, predominately in home care and hospice services. I live on the East coast, so I needed to be ultra confident in her care. I was extremely confident and happy with the skilled, compassionate and exceptional care my mother received. Daniela and her staff treated my mother like a 'queen'! She was always cared for respectfully and with sensitive dignity. My father had cared for my mother, suffering from dementia for 6 years when he died suddenly, requiring 24 hour care for my mom. Daniela was very sensitive to my mother's grief and made sure she would have familiar routines and foods to ease her adjustment. My mother received very specialized care from Daniela and her staff. I visited monthly and my mom was always very happy, calm and well cared for! The house and residents were always immaculately clean. All residents, despite their limitations ate family style and were up and dressed daily participating in group singing, or activities that stimulated their mental abilities regardless of their limitation. All residents were up engaged with daily activities in a family household atmosphere. Not stuck in bed or stationed in front of a blaring TV. The staff worked with my mom's physical and mental limitations maximizing her independence. Not once did she have a pressure sore or skin break in 3 1/2 years! My mom's symptoms were very well managed by the staff throughout her time living at Gentle Care Home. Twenty-four hours prior to her death, hospice was unable to get her comfortable. This required an inpatient hospice admission. The day leading up to this admission, I was well informed and spoke with them frequently. The hospice nurse, Daniela and I decided on the need for the hospice admission. Daniela and Andrei alternated to stay with my mom continuously at the inpatient hospice unit until I could get a flight in to AZ! This was so meaningful for both my mom and myself. One of them just stayed without being asked! In all my years in nursing, I have never seen a care home with such compassionate and exceptional care. I recommend the Gentle Care Home without reservation! Susan Havens-Lang RN MSN
