As a business owner, I can tell you some of these reviews reek of disgruntled employee and are far too intimate with the inner workings of the business. I seriously doubt their veracity. I have had someone who is a close friend of the family here for a few years and I've never felt there was any negligence in regards to their care. Have there been many changes here? Yes. In the last few years I have seen three different EDs, a couple of different nurses, three different activity directors, multiple marketers, and at least three different maintenance men. But these issues are typically indicative of incompetence at the corporate level or lack of involvement. I had no personal problems with their previous ED Becky and don't know why/if she chose to leave. But if it was termination and whatever issues with the "higher ups" she may have had, I didn't find them representative of her personally. And now that she has been replaced, I find Trish to be a wonderful and supportive successor. I won't deny the claims that there have been many changes in recent months but this is nothing new for this establishment in my experience and it only suggest to me they will be changes for the better. These changes won't happen overnight and I believe the new staff are genuine and sincere in their pursuit of care for the residents there. I'm only giving four stars because there's always room for improvement and Brookdale North Tucson is no different. Particularly from the aesthetic side as it could use some new paint and carpet. But I'm seeing other improvements and I always leave with a sense of security knowing my loved one is there.

I'm not quite sure where the poor reviews of the new executive director are coming from. Every experience I have had with the new director, Trish, has been wonderful. She is compassionate, caring, and very attentive, even when doing things that are not usually in a directors job description. She has taken a very bad situation and made it much better. I would place my mother there now, if she needed care.

Im giving this place a 3 star since they did ONE smart thing by getting Becky outta there! She was as incompetent as they come! How she even ever got hired is beyond me. She had gotten multiple GOOD employees fired due to her lack of inconsistency and complete disregard for being a good manager. There were many sketchy things going on being the scenes about a year ago between the managers who worked here, which unfortunately came through on the other side and also affected residents. A lot of INNOCENT people were fired because of her. She started running this place on a downhill slope. Good employees were let go who really would have made a difference if it weren't for BECKY trying to deflect her poor choices onto others! Hopefully this place can try to head back up after she tore it to the ground.

Since the new director, sales person and activity person have been at Brookdale the place has changed for the worse. They promised changes when they came in and all we have seen is things get worse. Management never smiles. the person that does activities is rude and has been sworn at family members. They have not treated personnel with respect. Director does not hire people and helpers are working double shifts. She removed competent personnel and the staff is working short handed. When you call for help it takes up to 30 min. There are a number of issues that can lead to falls. There are numerous safety issues. Management is rude to family members and never make an attempt to introduce them self. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. I would rate a - 10. My Mother has been here for years and I as well as other family members are looking for a caring and safe place to move.

I am very disturbed by how this facility is run. As soon as you enter you get a cold feeling from the management, no one welcomes you or smiles. I can only imagine how this behavior affects the residents residing there. Often the meals are served late, or they run out of food. I have witness the food being served up to 54 minutes late. On top of those concerns are the lacks of regard for the safety of the residents. There are sharp objects left for easy access, they are understaffed, and often not scheduled to meet the requirement to residents. I can't imagine letting my loved ones stay here any longer to live in this cold environment with such inattentive management and staff.
