Copper Canyon provides the safe, loving, and engaging home that becomes essential when thinking about placing our loved ones in memory care and assisted living. Copper Canyon is inviting from the beginning with furniture and decorations that remind you of home. The central Nurse's Station is amazing, because it provides staff a view of the entire facility while staying away from "nursing home" and "facility" feel. Staff is always easy to reach and find, 24/7. Meals are unheard of in this field with variety and restaurant quality. Rooms are equipped with motion sensors to prevent falls and nighttime wandering. Best of all, staff is loving and caring. They will go out of their way to ensure that everyone is both safe and cared for. Activities are engaging for everyone--from those in the early stages of dementia to those who are end of life. Would not speak higher of any other place in Tucson!

Copper Canyon is not just a lovely place. The personnel were very responsive and helpful in giving tours and getting information they needed for an assessment. If you have a loved one with dementia, consider putting them on your list of potential residences. They will do what you need with speed and caring. Kaylee will get right back to you, so you are not in the lurch as you make such an important decision. Mary H.

I placed my husband at Copper Canyon in mid-2018. Overall, I have been pleased with the care he receives. While no facility is perfect, I do believe that when I express a concern about an aspect of his care, my concerns are heard and we work on potential solutions together. I have been very impressed with Terri Waldman, the director, and her advocacy for people with memory disorders. Most of the staff seem to truly care about the residents and do their best to provide excellent care. Of course, the turnover of staff is concerning, but not surprising, considering the nature of the work. The food is excellent and home-cooked.
