My mother lived at Fairmount for the last year of her life. I had planned on her always living with me, but there came a time when that situation was no longer possible at home to provide her with a safe environment - so we made the very difficult decision to move to Fairmount. Due to its proximity to us, my brother, niece and myself were daily visitors at different times of the day and night for a year. We all agree that Fairmount was not only beautifully maintained but was staffed by a consistent team of people who seemed to intuitively realize the importance of their work - taking care of beloved members of other peoples' family. Some of the residents didn't seem to get many visitors and for them the caregivers were like family. Of course there were difficult times but I saw problems handled professionally. I wanted to personally thank in particular Carmen, Nicole, Lorna, Claudia, Coleman, Troy, Tina and Janice who we dealt with daily for their attention to my mother. As I got to know each of them I became more confident that she was treated with respect and as an individual. When it would have been easy to leave her in her room, they most often insisted in her being part of the community meals and many daily activities. She was especially good with balloons. For anyone facing the difficult decision of moving a loved on to assisted living/memory care I would encourage you to consider Fairmount. I have no other experience to compare it to, but my family found it to be a caring, safe and pleasantly designed facility. It was professionally managed and its staffs' strength was in the personal care and much needed genuine affection shown in their daily interactions with all the residents. Thank you, Claire

THIS IS THE PLACE!! We have a dear friend who has lived at Fairmount for a little over a year. We have found the staff particularly loving and caring. They are competent and take excellent care of everything he needs and wants. The atmosphere is homey and the activities involving. Most importantly, our friend is happy there. Recently a second friend has also decided to live at Fairmount and he, also, is very happy with his care there.

Fairmount is an amazing facility. I am impressed with how well the staff communicates with my 90-year old mother. Their kindness, patience, availability and willingness to help brings tremendous comfort to our family. We are very pleased that mom is receiving the best care. Mom has a lovely room, receives good food, and enjoys the live entertainment. Fairmount is a warm and beautiful place to live.

This is an exceptional facility with exceptional staff! I am a home health nurse. I have seen many facilities and the best indicators of the care at a facility is staff to resident ratio and how long the staff stays. But Fairmount is unique. It's large enough to offer more activities than small homes, but they still have an intimate, caring atmosphere. Even more unique is how they strive to improve the lives of the residents by bringing in "Life" through things like children piano concert, equestrian visits, and a chicken coop in the back. It doesn't look as fancy as some newer places, but trust me, fancy is not always better. I am so glad my father spent his final days among these caring people.

Our mom moved here after a terrible experience at a Large Corporate assisted living facility. After that experience and visiting many homes, I can say that I do not believe she could find a facility with more caring owners or staff. The staff is always interacting and socializing with the residents and are always helpful and informative to us. The owners are always there and we never have problems communicating with them. Everyone is very accommodating, professional and caring. I would highly recommend Fairmont to anyone who needs assisted living.
