Unprofessional business staff. Received a call from Theresa to schedule and interview with me. I was all set up to interview; scheduled time to meet with "Evan" for a Billing position. Arrived prior to my appointment to be met in the lobby by "Evan" just to be told they closed the position and "Theresa" called and left me a voice mail saying they needed to cancel my appointment. I said "nobody called me and nobody left me a message". Wouldn't even give me a chance. All he could say is I'm sorry but there was a mix up. I could have been at another appointment but made sure I kept mine with them so they could screw me out of both interviews.

Some people are unhappy where ever they are. My stay so far has been very comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Most of the guests are happy but, you can't please everyone. I ended up here by chance. I feel grateful to be at Handmaker.

This is a bit late but several years ago my mother was at Handmaker to recover from a pulmonary embolism. I am a healthcare professional and so I know how things are suppose to work with this care. I'm happy to report that my mother did well, felt right at home, I was not at all worried about her in Handmaker's care and she returned home. I can recommend this organization

Night staff was severely limited. Only one nurse and CNA to 35 patients. I would not recommend this place. The night nurse and CNA we nice, but overwhelmed. Was not impressed with the day staff.

Apparently Mr. Tom Hines (Director) thinks it's normal for patients to fall and break body parts everyday. Maybe it's normal for the facility if a different individual falls every day. That makes total sense! But the same person falling 2-3 times a week and fracturing bones often under paid supervision/care is not normal. This is a place to leave and forget about your family or cared ones. Not a safe place. There is not enough supervision for the elderly people in need in this facility. I am very disappointed and feel very ashamed and humiliated by the way the staff/nurses and directors have treated us as the family and my grandmother (the patient falling 2-3 times a week). And there is no one you can call for help.
