Ventana Winds have only treated my mother with respect. The staff are very nice, and put up with a lot of hard things, and do well managing it. Memory Care is a difficult task to accomplish and they do well in taking care of the patients there, even my mother. They have a lot of activities everyday for the people there, and the activity adviser makes sure to go out of her way to treat every person special, whether it be doing personalized nails or perming their hair. Im very blessed to have my mom there .

I go and visit my friend there at Ventana Winds and I must say that they are really good there. They get three meals a day and 24 hours of caregivers there. It also nice that there is a med tech on duty to give them there medicine so they don't have to worry about it. They don't have to worry about their laundry or their linens as it is taken care of. The apartment gets clean once a week.

I moved my parents down from Prescott to Ventana Winds a week ago. So far I have had to call several times in regards to things not happening that I was told would be done. They were suppose to have showers on certain days and they weren't. The garbage wasn't being emptied, and I had to call them on that. They had been there days without getting any kind of activities calendar, I called about that. They finally got one yesterday after being there a week. One employee had told my mother that she should put a lock on one of their doors to a room that had valuable's in. so that nothing gets stolen. Really? They have caregivers working there that steal from people. I called on that one and told them to put a handle on that room to lock it. I called about the caregiver that gives them their showers because she uses 5 towels and they are soaking wet and then she puts them in the hamper. So right now I am not pleased. I could get them a really nice apartment for a whole lot less then what they are paying monthly, and have people come in to do things for them. So now they are both hesitant on leaving their apartment knowing that people can just come in and help themselves. I don't usually write reviews but I feel too many things have happen in such a short time of being there. I didn't want to give them any stars, but it wouldn't let me post it without giving them one.

The assisted living Staff is very unprofessional and smoke outside more than they work. Nurse in charge is unorganized and the staff all talk about each other. To much drama and not enough care. The care coordinator is not compassionate and does not follow through to help residents. Again a lot of smoke breaks. It's unfortunate because the building could have potential with the right staff.

Horrible! My Grandmother was ignored and left in soiled clothes for hours. She was in the alzheimer's wing and they would have one caregiver for 20 people. they would put them in front of the TV and let them sit. SHe was yelled at and threatend by the staff. They should be shut down. She lost almost 35 pounds before we got her out of this hole
