The staff here is excellent. They really do care for the residents and strive to keep them comfortable and happy. The facility itself is also beautiful and feels like a real home.

The facility is well maintained and has a very relax feel about the place. I love how the tree in the front lawn which provides a natural welcoming invitation. The rooms are well kept and clean. The staff competent and pleasant to chat with.

This place just got remolded and has a putting green in the front yard. Absolutely amazing care and feel inside this facility. I give it A++ all around.

STAY AWAY! DANIEL RESCIA WAS SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I can not begin to explain the nightmare that was Golden Way Care. My grandmother was in their "care" for less than 12 hours. I partly blame hospice for not stepping in, but I also blame this company. The night she was transported to the facility she was very comfortable. The hospice nurse discussed all the medication needed for her comfort which included a very small amount of morphine that was to go under her tongue. The couple that lives in the house made eye contact with each other and looked very apprehensive. First red flag. Turns out they can not administer the morphine. I'm not unhappy about that, but rather the fact they neglected to inform us they could not administer the morphine. They don't have any staff that monitors the residents in the evening. She was in pain the entire night and called my father the next morning crying and telling them to get her out of there. She rarely shows any signs of weakness so this was a major deal. When I walked in to see her I was greeted by Daniel Rescia who is a complete joke. I went to see her and was immediately engulfed by the odor of feces in the hallway. As this was before visiting hours, I am assuming it wreaks of feces before the families are allowed to come in. After asking for her medication and telling Daniel to remove the Norco which wasn't helping, he immediately became defensive by yelling "Who are you to tell me what to do?!". I'll admit I may not have handled the situation how I normally would, but when we're getting calls from my grandmother first thing in the morning telling us she's in extreme pain and they're trying to get her to eat edibles and administer unprescribed medical marijuana WITHOUT informing the family or discussing with hospice, all I saw was red. Daniel got on the phone with my father who was 4 hours away in a state of panic. Daniel then began to cut my father off and immediately became argumentative without trying to calm the family down. He then started laughing over the phone telling us how ridiculous we are and how funny the conversation is when my father was trying to tell him how he would like this situation handled. After the hospice nurse came in I overheard him talking to her about my father and complaining which was totally unprofessional because she was called there to monitor her pain which Daniel was preventing. He then tried to intimidate us by saying she was no longer welcome there. We made the decision to remove her from the premises when she made the first phone call. Absolutely horrible experience. This has been a horror story you see on tv come true.

No words can express my gratitude for the loving, compassionate care given to my mother by the staff of Golden Cascade. As a registered nurse, I felt great peace of mind knowing my mother was in competent, caring hands after suffering a disabling stroke. For over a year, Golden Cascade became a 2nd home to our family and we were always warmly welcomed. The "hominess" was only enhanced by the presence of animals and the musical talents of the staff. I will be forever grateful and have absolutely no regrets for having entrusted my loved one to their care. I highly recommend Golden Cascade without any reservations.
