As Founder and Principal of Crisis Coaching, I have seen a number of assisted living facilities, both high and lower end. For an SSA/ SSI facility, Park Ventura was by far one of the best run, kindest with most responsible staff, and cleanest I have seen. I even checked the facility out with licensing...when there were complaints, the complaints were many times a late filing by a few days of a paper for this or that. Many times a filed complaint was not recent, or old or recent, turned out to be "not supported" once investigated. Facilities, in general, are usually short-staffed. I don't personally need an assisted living place, but if I did - I would start here, then compare everything else I looked at to PV. I bet you come back here. The value is better than most $3800/ month places, I think - unless you really want a full-sized studio apartment. NOTE: rooms do vary on type of renovation here - if you want to do upgrades, just work with the Administrator, Amanda. She's nice.

Park Ventura is the filthiest facility I've ever had the misfortune to be in. Food is gross . Dining room & kitchen is most unsanitary and food defies description. I'm waiting for some kind of food poisoning to befall residents because everything is so dirty!
