Sadly as with most Medicare funded nursing homes, they forbid the use of cannabis. Imho, residents should be required to eat at least one hash brownie every day.

Management seemed overwhelmed and uninformed of our tour, late getting started and rushed because their next tour was waiting. Assisting staff (secretary and maintenance) were VERY nice. Building is old, the fresh coat of paint doesn't do much to hide unsightly parts like running wires along the ceilings. Many apartments have outside entrances- nice for summer days with the screen doors open, but not for carting in groceries or walking to main building's laundry during cold winters or rain. Dining room could've been cleaner. They sat us at a table with a puddle beneath it. No night staff for independent living seniors advised to just "call 911" if something was wrong. Didn't feel homely or comfortable. :(

Bedbug infestations, water leaks, broken and unsafe doors, horrible food and deferred maintenance. This place needs to be condemned. Bedbug problem has gone on for 5 months now with no end in sight. They serve their residents cold pizza and peanut butter sandwiches, and the food that is supposed to be hot never is. The staff do the bare minimum and you are not spoken to unless you engage them first. The management ignores complaints or simply tells you what you want to hear with no action taken. DO NOT EVER consider leaving your loved one in the care of this facility!!

One word - Bedbugs! THEY HAVE AN INFESTATION. I am so sorry my grandfather moved here. Severely understaffed. They had to throw out all the common area furniture. Still infested. Also the elevators are always broken and I witnessed one close and smack a 90 year old.
