You couldn't pay me enough to send any of my loved ones to MacKenzie Place. In fact, even if MacKenzie Place PAID ME to send a loved one there and offered free rent for life, I still wouldn't take them up on that offer. I've never heard so many people, including people who live there, talk so poorly about someone as much as they talk about the general manager, Troy. If I were to say that Troy was sleeping with someone at the corporate level, I don't think it would be too far off from the truth. It's the only reason I can think of as to why he still has his job. Everyone around him can tell that he couldn't care less about his employees and, even more importantly, the renters at that place. Do yourself a favor and send your loved ones to literally anywhere else. The other renters are kind and friendly, as well as other staff. However, in my opinion, your loved one's safety and well being is not management's top priority. I'm not even sure if safety and well being ranks top 10, to be honest.

My parents stayed here for several years prior to their passing. They really loved it here. Beautiful room and views, good food and very caring staff. Will always remember Sunday brunches with them.

McKenzie place DOES NOT take care of their CNA'S or Caregiver's in the event of an accident at work. If one of the staff gets injured by a resident they expect you to keep your mouth shut and keep your head low, they will fight tooth and nail to not take responsibility and fix the issue. Then after you take legal action against them, they will tell all other future employers a mixed up lie version of what happened and don't tell what they did wrong on their part so it will continuously follow the previous employee and cast a bad idea of them based on lies to future employers. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!!

My parents have lived in independent living at MacKenzie for 3+ years. when they first moved in it was great. Since that time it has really gone down hill. It is obvious that management is trying to make more and more profit out of the increases in rent. The yards are not being taken care of, the carpets are very warn out, the food isn't near as good and now they're liquor license has expired so they only sell beer and wine a couple times of week. Entertainment? Pitiful. Dining hall service? I can't even describe how bad it is. They used to have a bunch of really nice, conscientious servers but they have all is awful so all the good people have left. The van keeps breaking down so transportation is limited. Get the picture? Bottomline is that they are charging way too much for the services and qualify of the services provided.
