I hate to send this review again.. My dad has been there for three years. I would love to take him out and put him in American House. Today he waited over an hour after he pressed his call button. No one came. He is blind and in a wheelchair. He wanted to go down stairs to the entertainment.. after an hour of waiting, he went into the hallway. He asked the aid in the hallway to take him down. She said she didn't work on that floor!! HELLO!!! And she finally took him down. He has paid over $400,000 in payments for services in the last three years.. and this is the treatment he gets!!!!!

The executive staff has implemented specific requirements for optimal care of our mom. Communication between our family and staff continues to be open and welcome. This particular facility understands the emotionality, of all of our family members, in this time of our mother's life and continues to meet all the challenges required to maintain that the best possible quality both in the care provided by all staff members and comfortable and fulfilling environment for our mom. Our mothers financial restrictions have not compromised an excellent standard of continuing care at Emeritus at Bonita Springs.

This started out as a wonderful place for Mom in 2009. Nice accommodations, good food, so many nice services, nice people, helpful staff, good nursing. But it went downhill each year in care. There are now too many people for too few staff, and there were too many times when my Mother buzzed for help and no one came. It was not the nursing staff who were delinquent in their duties, it was the lack of adequate staff to care for so many people that was the problem. My Mother had times when she laid in a wet bed for hours, called to be taken down to dine and no one came, or needed help with the bathroom and no one came for more than an hour. My Mother is not a complainer, so I am concerned about all the things she didn't tell us about. We have moved my Mother elsewhere and were told by staff that it was a good idea to do so. Be cautious with going here unless their staff to resident ratio dramatically changes.
