Lots of turnover in their staff and upper management. If you have an issue you are sent to voice mail and might get a returned call. I dealt with many issues while my grandmother lived there. She was hospitalized several times and fell many times while there. In the short time she lived there she declined rapidly. When she returned from being in hospital I had other residents coming up to me telling me that the staff could not and was not taking care of her. They would leave her in her room all day until I spoke up about it. When she was transferred to a nursing home upper management handled it very unprofessional, especially the Business Office Director, very rude. This location is not up to Brookdale standards!

DON'T PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! It is very deceiving when you go there as the main floor is very pretty. But make sure you visit the Memory Care Unit!!! It is dark and gloomy. They are understaffed so neglect is plentiful! They are NOT trained in how to care for Alzheimer's patients. They handle them very roughly, have no patience, show the "residents" no dignity, they promise that they check on the residents all night long - that is a complete lie! You pay a tremendous amount of money for the rent and on top of that for "level 4" care but they do nothing. They put horrible food in front of them (I witnessed them "forgetting" to give residents that can't communicate any food at all! If the meal is untouched, they don't help feed them, they remove the food. Every time we went there my father was wet, no one helped him eat, and the nurse ignored my pleas to look at his purple swollen ankle and it turned out they were blood clots which killed him. He was constantly bruised while there. And not one Senior Corp Mgr will even respond to my letters of concern. Please, if you care about your loved one, go elsewhere. I was advised by a Social Worker not to place my Dad there but I let their sales pitch sway me. I should have listened. I'm so sorry Daddy.
