Clean, well kept, adequately staffed. Housing up to 60 residents from the age of 40 to 89 years of age with an array of disorders that are either Psychiatric or Medical. The owner "Guy", and his wife are regularly seen at mealtimes assisting staff with their duties and are approachable and friendly. Faced with the daunting task if providing quality services with dwindling funds they do a awesome job in retrospect. The clients as well as the staff are all well adjusted and friendly making you feel like you are in their home. I'd give this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the usual communicable disorders one finds in public areas. (Such as MRSA, lice, scabies and staphylococcus aureus). They manage to deal with the issues efficiently.

The experience: Currently, they know a residents phone is missing, lost or stolen, and have not returned the phone. It has been missing more than a week. It disappeared while they transferred the resident to the hospital. Nobody has helped determine who the person accountable for the situation is, in order to ask for the return of the phone. I have read other reviews for North-Lake Retirement and see there have been other claims of theft. I am eager to help resolve this issue with legal counsel to protect more people from being victims of theft there. In this case, the phone is the lifeline to delicate end of life matters and I now have to file a police report, seek legal counsel, get documents to get another phone as the phone company needs the residents written permission to assign a new phone, and of course, raise the money to buy another phone. The IP address of the residents phone and the IMEI number of the phone have been traceable to the facility address, and all locations and uses since the day it has been missing. Confidently, the person responsible will be found. I wish they would just be honorable, admit they made a mistake and return it. I am humbly hoping to get the phone back into the hands of it's legal owner today. The history of the phone's location (address coordinates) indicates where the phone has been for this past week and will reveal the truth about who has it and where it has been. All of this hardship because the person who assumed possession of it has remained silent. Please return it and we will forgive you! That the good news for that person. How does a facility lose a residents cell phone when they are transferred to the hospital? Where did the mistake happen? Who is responsible? I will be having an attorney file a report of this incident to entities for elder abuse departments with county, city and state facilities in the State of Florida to protect the residents stuck there. Hopefully it will be found because I am inclined to believe there are some kind hearted caregivers who work there that genuinely care about the residents needs and stress. Maybe one of them will initiate finding it. Miracles do happen. That person would be doing great work in helping one of our American elders. In the meantime I hope this facility gets better supervision and employees so it's residents are in a safe environment. Thanks for this review opportunity. I'll update accordingly.

We taught our CPR class here and the staff were very engaging. It's nice to know that they care that much for patient safety. The administration is very attentive as well, and responsive to emails. Our experince as a vendor has been nothing short of pleasant.

My grandmother was at North Lake for about two years, we were more than happy with the care and love she received while there. We were there very weekend visiting and my mom would even bring the staff food on the weekends. I have nothing but great things to say about North Lake. We are beyond thankful for the staff and owners.

The staff are very kind, caring, & attentive to all your needs. I would definitely recommend to anyone I know. Out of all the places I have visited, North Lake is the best place for any family members.
