Small (~80 residents), with top notch staff. Lots of activities for the residents, and great communications with the family.

The difference between Spring Hills Lake Mary & Brookdale Apopka are like day and night. After moving my parents into assisted living (from independent living) at Brookdale, it seemed my parents needed more help from me than ever. I had to call to remind the Brookdale staff of their doctor's appointments, etc. My mother passed away... (and that is a "whole 'nother story"!) At Spring Hills, THEY CALL ME! They keep Dad involved. I used to wonder/worry how Dad would do without his life partner of 64 years. At Brookedale he was depressed (as was Mother) Dad is in great spirits now and is involved in the Spring Hills Community. I no longer wonder how Dad will be. He always seems to be in a much better mood, and I can thank the efforts of everyone at Spring Hills Lake Mary for that. I would recommend Spring Hills to anyone of my friends.

"Trying to place my Mother... Spring Hill is full-up! Sale person was very nice answered all my questions, what she didn't know she referred me to the Director... he was helpful. The cost is around $4,200.00 dollars. Apartments vary, but not by much. The waiting list is very long and they do not have any apartments for Medicaid, as I was told. Still looking!

My father moved in several months ago, and we are so excited for him to be here. He is enjoying the multitude of crafts, activities and frequent entertainment opportunities. The staff reminds him or goes and picks him up to attend the events. He has not been so happy, and content in a long while. The meals are amazing. I have eaten there with Dad several times with other visiting family members. They have menus that change weekly, with an endless array of selections from salads to sandwiches to specialty dishes and yummy desserts prepared by a truly qualified chef. The wait staff is patient and considerate of each and every one of the residents needs every day. I visit Dad most often at dinner time, and can say without reservation, this is like a highly rated restaurant. The nursing staff is very attentive and knowledgeable and will assist whenever it is needed. They are easy to talk to and will explain what is asked. They truly love and care for the residents like they are family. I must thank the director, Nick, Tatiana and all of the others for their genuine caring and concern for each individual resident, each and every day. We found the right place for Dad to have fun and love living! c.
