The first year was a transition for My mom... There have been several incidents over two year period. All of her necklaces she always wore never took off, missing. Heartbreaking..... No sign never to be found. She was told to take them off for shower and never saw them again hmmmm. The room ALWAYS smells like mold. Complained several times. Now dealing with an injury on both shins that I have mentioned before of course. Visited yesterday and if I didn't know better it is infected and spreading.....they said a nurse would be in to look at it. Called this am and talked to someone who obviously doesn't know her job. I was very concerned and told them I would take my mom to the ER myself and depending on diagnosis, would be relocating her. She responded with hanging up on me. This facility I'm afraid under "new management" will become horrible like most of the other Brookdales. If you love your parents, find somewhere else that rates at least 4stars all Brookdales barely rate 3. GET IT TOGETHER BROOKDALE HIBISCUS! SO disappointed.

Initially good experience. But they want your $$...after you sign your all done. My stepfather has none of his nice clothes (a Ralph Lauren guy) and has someone else's and everything is missing...so now they lock his room. He's gotten punched by others, pushed, and escaped. He is the kindest person and wouldn't hurt a fly. So this week he is now missing furniture...wtf. a bedside table and lamp. He might...stress might...give away clothes (highly doubt) but now he must be giving furniture away! Well ill say he is busy! Then theres the pads and diapers...stolen for other residents that may not have any. Lets have a fundraiser...Maybe get some of these things for those that cant afford. My mom is on a restricted income and cant afford to diaper and pad everyone in the place. This place is full of crooks. The director only cares about smoking and poo-poos any concern. At 4160 a month somethings gotta give! The nurse is nice enough and the cook is great...probably the most caring person there. Oh and I forgot my stepfather gf tried to punch my mom...granted neither my step-dad or her have a clue but my mom should be told before walking into that situation...again no big deal. Got the Sandra day O'Connell speech. Not necessary renee...shut the heck up. Everyone knows this is hard but for it to be hard on my mom and to get almost punched in the face....not good. I wish it was a great place because moving him will be tough.

My grandparents just moved in. Very courteous, professional and friendly staff. From the initial tour to the actual move in to present, they have gone out of their way to make our loved ones feel welcome and at home. They have catered to their unique needs and daily lives. They have also made our family feel part of their wonderful community.
