I am so pleased with how the staff interacts with families. Just recently we lost some dear friends who live here. They were above and beyond the care they showed the families. My friend said she never felt such love and concern they had when their mother passed away. She was my friend. I was there every day and saw how the staff took time to minister to them. We all felt the love of the staff. I have lived here for some time and would never consider moving. I am here for as long as God wants. Thank goodness for kindness. Thank you Staff!!!!! We all appreciate you.

Recently visited my aunt who's a resident here and I have to say it's really nice! The property is well taken care of, very pretty and very clean. I spoke with a few staff members and they were all quite friendly. I definitely left feeling good about my family being here. Thank you staffers for taking such great care!

The facilities are nice. The salad bar is good, but the other food often causes "the squirts". The elderly staff who occupy the front lobby seem friendly, yet, tend to gossip, and are condescending and rude when approached regarding issues with maintenance, etc. Residents, even those who've been there for a short time, are subjected to rent increases(read the fine print).

My parents have been at the Veranda for almost two years prior to the recent passing of my dad. Their time here has been a blessing to us as they have been treated well, giving us peace of mind knowing that they are well cared for. While there is always room for improvement, I have been more that satisfied with the level of care that they have received and with the professionalism and compassionate way the staff have treated my parents. This is a great facility if you want to have your loved ones cared for with little assistance from family. It is even a better facility for collaborative care between yourself and family members that are living at the veranda, as the staff at the Veranda is very willing to work with you to make adjustments to their care. I have very high standards and can only give the Veranda a 4 star revue as I always leave room for improvement. Having said that, being there and seeing the care that my dad received during his final days was nothing short of a 5 star effort. I could see nothing that they could have done better and was very much impressed with the care that my dad and other family members received during this time. Overall, I am very pleased that my parents chose this facility and can't say enough about the effort, professionalism and compassion that my parents got during this difficult time. The third floor staff, led by Roxanne, was awesome, and will always be in my debt.

They guard the front door 8-5 and any one entering or leaving the building is suppose to sign where they are going. You can walk in and out the back door with no problems during that time while they are seated at the front. You would think they would have cameras or a way to know when someone is entering from the back door. A while back they had a robbery which was perceived as a hush inside job...doesn't surprise me as the guest book is available for anyone entering and exiting the building. You can see names of the residences in the book which is also on the outside door of the Apts. and guage patterns of where someone routinely goes and for how long they are away. I never received a phone call when my dad passed even though my mother clearly told them my number. When I arrived a few days later they had my mom drugged on xanax and she didn't even recognize me and kept falling asleep. The next night it seems they started her on an anti depressant without any info from her daughter that the medicine was one that I could not take it made me sick. I have been informed it follows patterns in family members. I visited the next morning and she was sick.
