About Family Of Friends (The)
The Family of Friends, Inc. is an assisted living facility exclusively for adult males with mental illness. Our residents are provided the opportunity to live in a community among their peers and looked after as if they are a part of our own family.
The Family of Friends, Inc. has been licensed as an Assisted Living Facility since its inception in 1989. The operating expenses are financed through monthly maintenance fees due for each resident and generous contributions from the general public. 100% of all contributions are tax deductible and go directly to The Family of Friends, Inc. Our program is a cost-friendly alternative to higher priced assisted living facility such as La Amistad and Lakewood Ranch.
The Family of Friends, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Florida non-profit corporation. The corporation was founded in 1989 by a group of concerned parents, each with a mentally ill family member who needed a long-term, affordable and therapeutic residential facility.

Disclaimer: We DO NOT check license status for facilities and DO NOT ensure each property is classified as an "assisted living" facility. We try to list all senior living companies in a given area, some might not be licensed as assisted living. We strongly urge every consumer to conduct due diligence on facilities they are considering. This includes but is not limited to verifying the license status of a facility, researching inspection reports and complaints and visiting facilities in person.
