My Mother likes Brookdale, and I do too. It is a small unit, very homey. They do have some issues keeping good help, which we can see is due to a few staff that are in charge. Changes are in the works, so we are looking forward to a fantastic staff again.

Stay away. Take the contract to your lawyer. If you sign it you are signing that they can charge you any price they want for care items, services they decide you need, any made up item or service. The sales lady will promise you wonderful care of your loved one but neglects to say you will be charged thousands of dollars more than your intial estimate. According to the contract the charges are unlimited. It is like handing over your check book and giving them complete control of all of your parents money. They also include a huge arbitration agreement so you can not sue them. No other facility in the area does this.
