My mother was in the skilled nursing facility. Mom was placed here post a gastro-intestinal surgery for occupational and physical rehabilitation. She only made it there two days. She left in an ambulance and she's very afraid of having to return. The big issue was that my mother was having seizures that started at night and the staff let them go on all night long without doing anything including calling for professional medical attention. Mom was terrified. When the morning crew arrived they found Mom laying in her own urine still having seizures and they called for emergency medical care. They cleaned her up before the EMT arrived and her seizures were quickly confirmed - she was looking out into space, couldn't focus, couldn't speak, her hands were shaking, couldn't communicate in any way. Her roommate kept calling for help and no one would help her. Mom cried for over a week at the thought of having to return there. In the facility's defense, they focus on patients that are rehabilitating and offer no medical attention at all. If your parent or loved one is at risk for having a medical issue while there, I would not recommend this place.

The kitchen is disgusting! Dead rats throughout the building and while raw chicken wings are sitting a filthy sink. No water in the sink, just thawed raw chicken and filth, and have been there since before I arrived at 7 am. I took a picture at noon as I was going on lunch. I uploaded the photo to this medium.

Did not administer my mom's medication correctly . Had a staff member admit they "sometimes miss" giving patients their medication. Mom has Alzheimers was on Memory Care unit another resident kept coming into her room at night for months before someone finally stopped it. If you want good care for a loved one with Alzheimers or Dementia avoid this place

My mother has been in the independent living facility at the Fountains for about a year and a half. The experience has been wonderful for her. She is much more active and happier than when she lived alone. During the recent hurricane (Irma) the Fountains and its staff out did themselves. Not only did they take excellent care of my mother during difficult times, they did it in a way that made it as enjoyable as possible. The staff's frequent communication with relatives made the event less stressful for residents and relatives alike. Top ratings for facility and staff.

This review is for assisted living. I had to take my mom out of there. They were supposed to bathe her 3 times a week. She rarely got bathed in the 4 months she was there. Management told me it was because she refused. Really? She got to refuse? For A MONTH!? They were supposed to take her down for meals but half the time never came and got her. We were paying extra $ for these services. She eventually learned to go down there on her own. But missed a lot of meals due to short kitchen hours. She had a button she wore around her neck that was supposed to be responded to immediately but there were so many times no one came. EVER. Mostly on the 3-11 shift but not always. I know all this because I was there. A lot. When I was at work I was always in fear for her safety. Other issues were the elevators either going out or reserved causing massive delays with all the walkers and wheelchairs. The kitchen seemed short staffed most of the time. And the wait staff so rude even to me like they just didn't care. Cutting up while we sat there staring at them because we'd been waiting for a menu for 10 minutes. They hire these kids straight out of high school that have no business taking care of our elderly parents. I'd see them playing pool on the 2nd floor after witnessing my mother's button not being responded to. They want your money and promise you the moon. The only consistently responsible people I came across in that place were the med techs on 7-3. I trusted them.
