My family and I were extremely impressed with Plaza West Health Center at Freedom Plaza, inside and out. The establishment is nestled in a very quiet, low-traffic retirement neighborhood of Sun City Center. From the Building Director to the receptionist and all of the staff - everyone working there was as pleasant as they could be and ensured that the visit was not only memorable for my family and I, but for the family member that we were visiting as well as other residents that were around. The rooms are shared typically but are larger than all/most similar rooms that I've encountered in the past at places like this. The building is two stories and is very well spread out, offering the residents many common areas to socialize, relax, watch TV, read, etcetera... The facility seems to be thoroughly well maintained and extremely clean on the inside while offering a sense of tranquility with its curb appeal. The visitor registration process is self sufficient via an Android tablet terminal connected to a small label printer. Singing in is a s easy as typing your name and phone number along with selecting the resident that you are there to visit. We are overall very pleased with knowing our family member is here which is great piece of mind.

Beautiful place. Dressers and furniture to make it feel more like home. Cheerful atmosphere. Caregivers are very attentive. PT is awesome!! Only issue would be the food. But that's a tough one!

The day shift is on point, but if you truly love your elderly family members, don't go here. Staff is short at night shift, a very lazy attitude and ZERO sense of urgency when the elderly are pressing the help button. I'm here right now and it's 9:34pm. Help ding sound has been going off for 23 minutes straight. Imagine your loved ones waiting that long for help with a staff that Is severely short of trained professionals

PT and OT is good. The place appears clean and not over filled. Nursing is VERY weak. Most have an attitude that they don"t care or you are bothering them when asked a question. They may not come for hours or not at all when called. Don"t bring your loved one there if they need more than PT and meals.

Nursing care very weak. Very short staffed. Physical and Occupational Therapy department is very good.
