Sunrise at Ivey Ridge has been a wonderful place for my parents. They both lived there until my father died in November. We were very pleased with the care that he received and the level of caring and concern that was demonstrated toward him and my mother. The staff has been empathetic and caring toward my mother since the loss of her husband of 71 years. We are pleased with the level of professionalism and how they have involved our family in the process of caring for my parents.

My grandparents were married 70 years when my grandfathers health declined. Naturally they decided to try out assisted living together, as they did not want to be separated and my grandfathers care was becoming too difficult to manage at home. The staff has been attentive & responsive. You can tell that they genuinely care. Sadly, my grandfather passed away not too long ago. During that difficult time the whole team surrounded my grandparents with love and attention. My grandmother said that the relationship she had with her caregiver brightened her days during that difficult time. My grandmother opted to stay even after my grandfather passed, which is very telling about how she feels about her home at Ivey Ridge. My family is confident that they made the right decision when they chose Ivey Ridge .

My grandmother lives at Ivey Ridge and is happy to have found a community filled with staff who care, and is enjoying time spent with new friends.

My mother was in the memory care unit of Sunrise at Ivey Ridge for two years. While the general staff that cared for her on a daily basis was caring and tended her needs extremely well, I can not say the same thing for the management staff. During those two years, there were at least four Reminance directors. Rarely did I hear from them and it was not easy to make contact. After my mother's passing this week, I had to place at least two phone calls to find out what I needed to do to donate my mother's belongings. I never received an initial call from anyone when she died. In my opinion, if you are in the business of taking care of the aging, a call to the family to make contact when they pass should be included on a very basic checklist for management.

Horrible care. Greatly under staffed. Constant staff turnover-the good ones don't stay long. Badly managed. The building is old and not set up for people in wheelchairs. Showers and doorways are not built for seniors who have issues getting around. Food portions are small. Activities are few. Absolutely would not recommend.
