I had applied to Sunrise. After reading these reviews, I can vouch for at least one of these employees as a poor representation of what the website states. After a long application process, I didn't hear anything back for over a week. What I got was an email in my spam folder asking me to have an interview the following day. No phone call, no phone number, no address.. Nothing. To show my strong interest in working called to ask to speak with Kirk Campbell. The front desk said he wasn't available but would I like his voicemail. I said "Sure! Thank you!" As I'm waiting for the voicemail, a male (a man nor gentleman conducts himself in this guys manner) answers and asks "How can I help you?" I replied, "Hello, is this Kirk Campbell?" The male says "How can I help you". I asked this two more times as he never states who he is and I asked to speak with Kirk Campbell. In a condescending voice this guy says, "I'm gonna ask you one more time, how can I help you" You can imagine my reply. I wasn't so nice anymore and referred to him as the way he was acting. I feel VERY sad for the people that have to deal with him on a daily basis. Hopefully his superiors will get a look at these reviews and put him where he needs to be...away from a company that prides itself on care and nurturing.

I went to the group interview at Webb Glin in Lawrenceville, GA. First, the staff was very unprofessional, loud and unwelcoming. The kitchen manager(whom we didn't know her title at the time) put us in a room to watch a video introduction of the company and said she would be back in ten minutes. Once the video was completed, we waited until the two other managers came. They introduced the doc(had no idea what doc meant) and she said if you can't work weekends, we don't want to waste your time. I said I can't work Saturday's due to religious reasons. And they REALLY ASKED ME WHAT MY RELIGION IS. I told them I'm seven Day Adventist. The care manager said(in an asking way) "You can't work at night?" She said she is also of the same faith but still works at night. I gave them complete availability Monday-Friday all shifts and Sunday all shifts. The owners who started sunrise shares some of my same beliefs and core values which is why I applied, but to see that they don't care about their employees, gave me a distaste for the company. I applied for a part time job just to get out the house and do community service. I don't need the job. If I'm going to work for someone, I won't be slaved and that's exactly what they wanted me to be. The pay is low and I wasn't doing it for money so there is no way I'm going to stop my faith for people who don't care about the values of this world. They will miss the most compassionate and effective potential caregivers due to just wanting to meet numbers. I have no advice for them because they are the ones doing the hiring. My advice to potential applicants, learn and observe the location in which you are applying too. Your life and purpose is greater than the value they put on your lives.
