I am a former employee who was let go, and even I don't agree with some of the things that were said. Every place has their own set of issues, and I think that people should focus on how they attempt to overcome them, instead of picking on someone who has never been an ED before, and is trying to learn. No place is perfect; not Winnwood, not the brand new shiny down the road, no place. The CNA's in the AL are wonderful, and really care about the residents. That's what the focus should be on.

Its ok. My Grandmother is there, but has put her notice to vacate in. Her apartment is pretty, and the grounds are too, but there's no one there after hours or on weekends. They say there's a nurse "on call" 24/7, but there is most certainly not on anywhere near the community after hours. My Nanny has some health issues, and we can't afford to take the chance on something happening to her, and no one to be there to check. They have some cna's in the other building, but they don't always come when you need them because they have people over there in the nursing home part to help. You gotta be in great health to be there; if you have any kinds of health issues, they make you move to the nursing home part, and that is not happening with my Nanny. It's really depressing over there, and the residence just sit around and sleep and do nothing.
