I agree with (Honesty is the best policy), but they are not going to do anything about it... Especially with the MANAGER.

First of all let's start off by saying that Brookdale could of been a great company to work for. But they are always short of staff, only one person working in Assisted Living and memory care. How could one person take care of 26 residents is beyond me. The pay is horrible, also people who haven't been a CNA for more than a year, gets more pay than CNA'S of 10 years. The way the staff meaning MANAGER talks to people is rude and disrespectful. The manager Chase people out the door like there's no tomorrow. You want to know why the turnover rate is so high is because of HER! Good employees left because of her. They do not have CNA'S that have been working there for 4 yrs, they do not last. The longest CNA that's been working there is at least two years Max. The manager doesn't do anything, she doesn't know the residents by their name. The only thing she's good at is giving orders, but she doesn't even know how to do her own job. I wish corporate could stand up and see what's going on, ask staff what's going on, instead of asking upper management. Sit down with the CNA'S and see what solution you could come up with. Without CNA'S you don't have a business! I'm glad I am not working there anymore.

My mother has lived in this community for a year now. It is a very old community and the common areas do need updating. They have somewhat updated the apartments which are acceptable. They offer a lot of activities to keep my mom busy if she chooses. The food is my biggest gripe. They do not have a chef on the property. The meals are very inconsistent and the portion size varies daily. Some meals are good while others are inedible. My mother no longer cooks so her main meal for the day absolutely needs to be edible. I think this property still has a lot of work to do.

The thing I loved most and miss is the RESIDENT'S I quit the job (bus driver) because the activity department will over work me I had to drive and put up set ups by my self and what they had me doing a man should have been doing not to mention we had one guy he was very lazy sometime the manager would help only when she had nothing to do they started making me do my work and their work not enough (PAY) for the headaches back aches and streese over all the residents kept me motivated even when I decided to move on and leave BROOKDALE
