My mother moved into Savannah Commons in October 2014 in the independent living facility and lived there until her untimely death February 2015. A friend of mine who had a good experience with her own mother living there had recommended it to me, as well as another friend whose mother currently lives in the memory care unit. When I toured the facility prior to her moving in I was very impressed with everything I saw and after moving her into her own apartment I was not disappointed. Everyone there was friendly and did all that they could to help her to acclimate to living in an apartment after over 50 years of being in her own home. The other residents took her in as one of their own and she was invited and encouraged to attend the meals and many activities they offer by residents and staff alike. The building was always clean and inviting at any time I went there and in any area I visited. When I would visit, almost anyone I talked to knew who my mother was by name, and many of the staff knew and recognized me as I entered. Although our original intention to have her live there for many years to come was cut short by her death, I cannot say enough about the time that she did spend there. Her online legacy guest book shows how much the people there cared about her through the comments they all made. I am thankful that in her last few months she was surrounded by friends, residents and staff, that cared so much about her.

My mother lived at Savannah Commons for two years and was always well treated. The staff is friendly and courteous and always helpful. I am happy to recommend Savannah Commons for folks who need assisted living.

I used to work here and i quit due to the deplorable conditions the residents had ot live in. The residents in building C are the ones you dont see when you are welcomed by the beautiful building up front...its a cover up. You have to wear non skid shoes so you wont fall down bc the residents pee on the carpet and no one cleans it up. One man had tremors and couldnt feed himself...the workers would let him sit for an hour unassisted and if he never got food into his mouth...oh well his food was thrown away....he would wander the halls at 3am bc he was hungry. They let you work here with no certification or experience bc they cannot keep staff. please dont send your loved ones here.
