My mother lived here for a while. During this time, staff came and went. That's typical of staff in many places. The problem was with the building and the director who did not address the needs of the people. For example, my mother was hurt by another resident. When she reported it and I asked for the accident report, they claimed she lied. We have witnesses that they refused to interview and took part of a staff member's statement that changed the meaning of the event. Next, the elevator went out. My mother lived on the second floor and is wheelchair bound. She could not leave the third floor for almost a month. Then the bus went out and the only way that she could leave for three months was if the family came to transport her. That's ridiculous. The interesting thing was that when it came to moving my mother out because of these and other issues, the director and finance manager refused to discuss compensation for months of missing, contracted, safety services, but they were very happy to charge for days after my mom moved out because she was to give them 30 days notice she was leaving. It was in the contract--but when asked about the promised bus service and elevator to get her off the floor we got silence. A home that encouraged interaction in the community and safety in case of fire was also in the contract . . . crickets. They refused to address this with us and instead took over $700. I have written asking for compensation or discussion several times: one time to the financial agent and two times to the director. Nothing. I've received not one response. I did let them know that if I did not hear from them I would go to social media. Here is my review. They are Shameful. The bottom line: Don't waste your time or energy here. There are better more responsive places to be.

We loved it when it was Sunrise but not now! We have had several on going issues. Some were. serious!!! It's not all bad. Most of the staff are wonderful but our trust has been tested.
