I would like to share how blessed we are to have found HeartFields Assisted Living at Bowie. Ms. Nicola Hall was so caring and instrumental with my mothers move from FL. to MD> Ready to assist how she could making this a smooth transition and it has been and continues to be. I would also like to share how caring every one of the staff members have been since we arrived. They are doing everything to make my mother feel comfortable , to feel safe. Assisting with medical needs by setting up Dr. Appointments to get the prescription-ed care she needs. Thank you to the Staff at HeartFields in Bowie, MD.

I was recently faced with having to relocate my dad from an assisted living facility for seniors because his needs had become elevated to the extent that he required 24/7 vigilance due to his dementia issues, anxieties and restlessness. I had only 30 days to research and evaluate other facilities that had accommodations to deal with his needs. I discovered Heartfields at Bowie which seemed to be a good fit for my dad based on the availability of memory care services which they can provide and the calm ambience, beautiful setting, and boarding amenities I observed. My primary contact was with with Nicola Hall who is the Sales Counselor for this facility. She gave me a thorough tour of their facility and provided me with upfront facts concerning pricing and what the facility could offer. Upon our first meeting, Nicola was ready to start the application process to ensure the expediency of getting my dad relocated and was extremely helpful in completing all of the necessary forms to include her offer to write in my dad's information since I have had a sprained wrist and could not write legibly. She even offered to see me on a Saturday to pick up from where we had left off earlier in the week. I felt completely in Nicola's trust in what she had to explain to me that was both frank from a pricing perspective and what accommodations I could expect for my dad's care. I don't think it gets any better than that. No hidden surprises because she explained every potential contingency that could possibly arise and walked me through the whole process of transferring my dad from his former facility. I am very grateful for her above-and-beyond treatment of my urgency to get my dad placed in an appropriate environment for the level of care his condition now requires. I rate this facility as a solid 5 star enterprise for these very reasons and Nicola was a huge factor in my rating as well as other staff who I had met.

We received a very thorough tour and explanation of operations at the facility. The staff was very friendly. Nicola Hall, sales and marketing, was extremely accommodating and helpful. I brought my mom back and she was given a tour of the facilities and was very impressed. She is a great representative of your business... honest, forthright and hard-working.

Do not put any loved one in this home. My grandfather fell three times his first day here and all we got was a phone call saying that they "found" him on the floor. They then told my family that he needed to be supervised in a more expensive unit so we paid the extra for more staff. Except... during the night there were no staff to be seen.. no respect for the family or patient and during visiting hours a great show is put on to make it seem like this is an ok home. My grandpa ended up staying here only a week due to multiple falls, being unsupervised, and never having a doctor come see him even though we were promised to have him seen 2 days after arrival. Only a partial refund was given. I cant say enough about the ignorance and lack of care from both corporate and management.

We were given incorrect costs, as well as the staff not following through with medical issues that are costing us instead of resolving the problem, which they can. They neglect to return calls or follow up with requests that they state they will address and correct, they don't. Very poor customer service. I'd give zero stars if I could.
