This place is unacceptable. Residents are rudely talked to and made to feel like a nuisance. The management team gives you lip service saying to call or talk with them about concerns but then give the run around and are always unavailable. They are not trying to do better or be better by sweeping issues under the rug. I have seen residents neglected, with feces covering items in their rooms. Left dirty. They aren't adhering to proper dietary or medical protocol for some residents either. Something should really be done to have a better management team in place. Their aides/nurses need more training on how to properly care for the elderly. Please do not let the remodeled entrance fool you, there is a poorly managed team working with your loved ones. I'm sure they will respond asking me to contact them with any concerns, and I already have. 'My note for them is: Please do better by the people who are paying to live there. It's not only your job but just human decency. Look closely at some of your nursing staff and enable them to do better.

Morningside House is warm and friendly. The staff are compassionate and kind, they treat the residents like family.

If you are looking for a place that will care for your loved ones compassionately and professionally please continue your search. There are a few good people that work here but unfortunately, they can only do so much. Our complaints ranged from unsanitary conditions to neglect and management did not follow up to correct any of the serious issues we encountered. We gave our 30 day lease termination and moved my grandmother out before the 30 days was up. She couldn't wait to get out of there. Basically, if you are able to take care of yourself then this place may be ok since they do have nice activities but if you require nursing attention or have any restrictions due to your health or age please continue to search. Good places are out there.

Our experience of 3 months at Morningside was beyond horrible. Our loved one was admitted knowing that she was in need of a extra care, more care than many others in the dementia/Alzheimer's side of the house. We were paying extra for that level of care. Examples of our horrible experience: failure to administer medications properly, failure to help with feeding, failure to wash hands before meals as we were promised, failure to provide a medical record to the POA and lying about it, failure to weigh our loved once weekly as promised, failure to suggest to send her to the ER when her respiration rate was 40, failure to inform us, on the first occasion, about hand injures, failure to properly clean and cure those wounds (their protocol is every 48 hours), it should have been done twice a day in the family's opinion. Unwelcoming faces and plain rudeness from some staff members; when asked to be seen by the doctor on a Wednesday, our loved was forgotten and never examined and the family took her to the ER on the weekend to discover two infections in her body; plain negligence and lack of care. Room dirty, toothbrush incredibly nasty on top of the failure to clean her teeth daily. Failure to have a locked box in her room for over 20 days, as stated by law, that is to contain some specific supplies. Failure to shower her twice a week as promised, failure to wash her clothes twice a week as promised. I could go on and on and worst of all we never saw the president, and we were there many times, walk around the building saying hi to he residents. No wonder the whole place is in chaos, there's no supervision, no accountability. Lots of staff there come to work at Morningside not because they love what they do, but because it pays their bills. What a misery to be doing a difficult job that you don't like. Enough! Well 6 months later Google has notified me that 1500 people have read my post. How come there only 5 reviews of this place?
