Having an elder loved one in weak health was hard but what was even harder was having the loved one at Fairhaven. The place was great until the financial cash of 2008, then things seemed to slide downhill. Trying to call the loved one at Fairhaven was a nightmare because the central switchboard could not route the call correctly and when the call was routed correctly to the nurses station, the phone would ring for 5 or 10 minutes with no answer. That was awful to experience. This problem alone has been persistent for five years, with no improvement. My favorite recent (sarcasm here) was calling on the morning my love one died to arrange removal of belongings, and there was no one working the switchboard. So the phone rang and rang and finally went to the first floor ward, where the imbecile answered, "Wrong unit. Must call second unit" and hung up. Are you f'ing kidding me?!?! Your staff does not even know how to answer the phone?!?!! I will miss my loved one, but I will not miss going to Fairhaven. There are many more problems than just the answering service, and there is not enough space to describe them. If the phone is the first impression of a place, then you know all you need to know.

If you have the million $ it takes to even apply to live here, I'd do it in a heart beat. They have many activites, wood shop, sewing room, arts & craft rooms, music, choral, card games, etc. Several eatting areas ranging from cafeteria to a formal dining room. Many living quarters available; villas, apartments. All maintenance and landscaping included.

This facility was wonderful for my Mother. They gave her the care she needed . Unlike another facility she had been in before coming here. in 2 weeks time she was on her own and released to come home . The food was excellent and the staff was great. I highly recommend Fairhaven to any one who needs rehabilitation and one on one care.

My grandparents were treated extremely well here, from the time they had their own apartment to when they had to live in assisted living. The staff is incredibly compassionate and deserve more recognition for all that they do. There were always activities for every level of ability and group trips they could sign up for. We were even allowed to install a few bird feeders outside my grandmother's room!! They really want to make their residents lives as whole as possible. The food was really good too! Guests are welcome in any of the dining areas - my favorite was the dinner buffets and the cafe pizza. There are endless food options and really nice servers. My parents joke that they already have their apartment picked out for themselves when it's their time and I can't blame them - Fairhaven is a really nice place to live!!
