This company hired an employee, Barbara Cioe, who had a Protection From Abuse Order against her because she physically assaulted her child. I have first hand knowledge of this information since I am the stepmother of the child she assaulted and I was as the court house when the judge issued the Protection From Abuse Order. This employee has had 2 siblings who have committed suicide, it is a fair assumption that mental health issues are hereditary in her family. As of 6/1/18 this woman is still employed at this facility. If you value the safety and well being of your loved one DO NOT bring them to this facility. This company is not selective in the types of employees that they hire, and this woman has a history of abusing others. I spoke with the administrator, Carl Chadwick, on more than one occasion indicating my concerns and he was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful to me on the phone. The employee sends text messages to my husband throughout the day while she is at work when she is supposed to be taking care of residents. Tall Pines is the only nursing/residential care facility, that I am aware of,that allows their employees who are being paid to provide direct patient care to patients/residents, to bring their children to work with them. In my opinion this facility does NOT care about its resident's/patient's safety and well being. I believe this facility is desperate for employees and does not care about who they hire, even if it means hiring someone one who has assaulted her own child and allowing that employees to use the facility as a daycare center.

My Mom was transfer to Tall pines in in June 2017. She received amazing care here from great nurses. She was borderline Res Care or Nursing care but had a Goold assesment done and was rated the lower Res Care but the facility took care of her every need anyways. She was a retired nurse and frankly not always the easiest patient but never any issues with staff or nursing. She just passed away on Friday and I have great respect for the care she was given here. Not easy for us but know she got the best care helps
