Former employee. Understaffed. CNA's overworked. Nurses overworked. No clear direction from management. Employee union contracts continually violated. CNA to patient ratio routinely 1 to 15. UMRC hires for jobs with no clear identification of Job duties. Extremely poorly run facility. I was mandated as a nurse supervisor to work the floor as a CNA. Clear violation of law. Poor state inspection.

My recently deceased Aunt was a resident for five years. She and all her family agreed that moving there was a beneficial and rewarding experience for her. Solicitous staff, congenial residents, varied activities all added to the quality of her days. The presence of some residents, their aides and the Chaplain at her funeral was a testimony to the spirit fostered at Chelsea. My Aunt's family thank all who helped make her last years and her Rite of Departure joyful and memorable ...as she wished.
