I cannot say enough wonderful things about Autumn Ridge of Clarkston. We moved my mom into Autumn Ridge a year ago and I have been incredibly impressed with both the staff and the facilities. The staff is responsive to her needs and takes wonderful care of her. They are incredibly attentive to her physical health, but I've actually been most impressed with the effort they take to get to know each resident. Everyone in the facility greets her by name. They bring her favorite dessert each evening and they help her style her hair before important outings. This level of care is unlike she received in other facilities she was previously in. I would highly recommend Autumn Ridge of Clarkston to families looking for a place for their loved one.

My grandfather called Autumn Ridge home for nearly three years and I cannot say enough kind things about the quality of care they provided him. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive. He loved the outings to local restaurants and all of the different activities that they offered on a daily basis. He was always telling us about his latest trip or showing us his latest project. But most importantly, the staff cared about him as a person and treated him with the utmost dignity and care. They viewed him as if he is a member of their own family. Honestly, I can't imagine a better place to have had my grandfather call home.

My grandma lived here for a few years after my grandpa died and although she was going through a difficult time the staff was always so supportive of her and my family! They were always very willing to communicate with my family in order to deliver the best care possible and overall it was a great environment for her!

WARNING...it looks good on the surface but it's really very ugly underneath. They will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to move in. My father and I had the worst experience at this place. Always Under staffed. Not trained properly. Medications that were supposed to be administered being logged as complete when they didn't even have possession of them!. Slow response time. Sometimes it took 20 plus minutes for someone to take my father back to his room after his meal. He was was left on the commode for excessive amounts of time several times. Constant staff turn over. Equals in-consistent care. Current management would rather argue with you And be defensive rather than hear you out. I could go on and on. Bottom line is, in my opinion I would never use this facility. They placed my father in harm's way on many occasions. He deserved and paid for much better.

On March 5, 2018, my mother moved into Autumn Ridge. On May 18, 2018 she died, in yet another assisted living facility, moved there on Hospice, unable to recoup from multiple ER visits, hospitalizations and multiple infections. It would be unfair to say that Autumn Ridge caused my mother's death, but it would be untrue to say her downward spiral didn't begin there at the hands of an underpaid, untrained aide, who didn't have the time or desire, to read her Care Plan. This facility cannot possibly deliver the care they describe with only 1 aide per 25 residents, which was the case when my mother was there. She sustained a back injury from being improperly and unnecessarily lifted from her chair, instead of letting her use her walker, which she used when she first arrived. My mom didn't deserve the horrible suffering she endured the last two months of her life, and I will forever regret my decision to move her there.
