Under new Management, Bruce? all of the services are being removed. They removed the busing to the local grocery and pharmacies and are telling residents to use Uber. They are scamming the residents meals as well. allocated for 2 per day, but if they do not finish and try to take it with them back to their apartment they are charging them a second meal . It is an absolute disgrace what these people are doing to our elderly citizens

Please if you have a loved one take the time to do the research of the place that you intend to trust to care for them. I was blinded by the recommendation from the social worker of this place. This place is understaffed and the very small number of staff that were working were very rude and lacked empathy. My dad was admitted in for physical therapy after a serious surgery on his pelvic area, which meant he will need help walking to the bathroom because he can't carry much weight on that one leg. After many tries of requesting for a nurse he tried to do himself and fell a few times in the process. He also developed a high fever and an infection in their care. After we made the decision that he will die if we leave him in their "care" and took it upon ourselves to take him to the emergency room my father was admitted into the ICU. My heart aches knowing that he had to endure that treatment and still aches that people are still in there. i was in awe of meeting such staff and just makes me question how does one take the time to go to school and the time to come to a job that you are getting paid for and still not do your work. When I see a nurse's uniform there is an unspoken promise that is made to care just as the unspoken promise the police uniform is to protect. I just hope no one else gets hurt and if any staff or management reads these reviews take their job seriously and know these people are human beings who are loved just as Iam sure they have loved ones of their own.

{Wish that I could leave it at 0 stars, but google is tripping} Absolutely horrible service at the rehab. I had my dad stay there after a major surgery having to do with his veins. Despite the fact that my dad is handicapped and has kidney issues, this surgery took a toll on his body. At first, we became infatuated with the village, thinking it was amazing and performing proper research. We officially signed him in on the 22nd of December 2016, and quickly signed him out the 26th of December. During his stay the amount of nurses were extremely limited. Not only was there a small amount of nurses, but they were very rude and made sure that we knew that they had no care for their patients. There would be patients in other rooms screaming for help, and the nurses would just stand there going on with their day, acting as if the screams were white noise. My dad had stomach issues due to his medication, and wanted my mom to spend the night helping him get to the bathroom. When we notified the front desk asking if it is okay for my mom to spend the night, she responded with, and I quote, "I dont care". Not only did she say it once, but she made sure to repeat it to emphasize how much she did not care. My father spent 4 days there and did not undergo any form of physical therapy (which is what we took him there for in the first place). We started considering signing him out when my mom tried to help him up out of the bed and he fell on her. On top of the fall, a good 15 minutes passed while my parents were SCREAMING for help. The care for their patients are absolutely ridiculous. If they want to hire nurses, please make sure they love their job. Now my dad is back at the hospital due to a fever, and dehydration thanks to the "amazing" service at Henry Ford Village. I am disappointed at the fact that we ever signed him up in the first place. I suggest that you never take the risk of signing anyone up there, even if its the last place available.

Homestead Home Health Care, horrible! Security, the ones that have been there for many years are unproductive and un-kind; sarcastic!
