Unless you can be up there everyday with your loved one this isn't the place for you. Most of the aides are lazy spend a lot of time sitting their phones. We had someone up here everyday my grandma was there and would show up at different times so not to create a pattern. I was told one night when I got there that my grandma was sound asleep when I got into her room she was sitting in the bathroom, when I asked the aide about it because my grandma hadn't been able to walk in weeks she rolled her eyes and walked away. They prefer to let your loved one soil a diaper as opposed to actually toileting them. And good luck getting them to change a soiled brief. I had to go up there every night to do her oral care because they didn't. They tell you there's activities for them yet never saw them do anything but wheel the residents back to there rooms to stare at the walls. The communication is awful and they just pass the buck to someone else when confronted with an issue. The nurses are more incompetent than the aides are. Before my grandma got there she had been on antibiotics for pneumonia and about a week later she spiked a random fever when I asked the nurse she told me the antibiotics created the fever, Really?!?! Once we were able to get her transferred out they lied on her medical records so other facilities would deny her transfer. It was a complete nightmare.

My mother was there for 4 weeks after a hospitalization for rehab therapy. There was no communication, the social worker was the worst and did only the minimum to keep her job. The therapists told us my mom would never walk again, and would need someone to care for her 24 hours a day if she went home. She has been home now a month and with the assistance of Henry Ford Therapists she is walking again and continuing to improve daily. While Fraser appears like a nice facility, you have to keep on them with your loved one or they will fall through the cracks.

I placed my grandmother here based on a recommendation from a relative which I'm regretting at this point. I've been threatened they would not provide medical care unless I sign to check her in when my grandmother is competent to sign for herself. Then, I was threatened they will put her out in the cold in the dead of winter if I don't sign to be financially responsible even after I advised them I'm working with an elder care law attorney because I'm not on any fianancial or legal paperwork. After a week they have not provided rehab nor have I heard from the Social Worker to get any type of assistance or an update of my grandmothers condition and treatment plan. They have not provided any assistance or have been supportive and it has been one threat after the next. Not helpful at all.

My 91 year old mom who is blind due to macular degeneration was in here. She fell at her assisted living place and went to Fraser Villa for Physical and Occupational therapy. She is in a wheel chair and has more problems then when she first arrived. She got cuts on both shins of her legs because I believe the aids forget all the time that she is blind. When she gets a shower, they didn't change the bandages. I know this because they put the dates on top of the bandages. When we were there, they forgot to get her for dinner in the dining area, so I brought her down. When you ask about these things, they just say they are sorry. One time they completely for got to get my mom for dinner and when they remembered, she was sitting by herself in the dining room after everyone left just eating cottage cheese and some fruit, because that is what they had left. My sister found her there sitting alone. The nurses are always on there computers. It is hard to get an answer from any of them. Some of the aids are nice, but others seem like your bothering them. Many other sloppy mistakes too. So if you do decided on this place, you better plan on being there all the time to stay on top of them. They won't like that either . I will say the physical and occupational therapy was good, but the living area needs to communicate with each other and family.
