Stone Crest Assisted Living is a beautiful facility. It is very nicely decorated and has a very comfortable atmosphere. Virginia is so helpful and caring, and it really shows through with her interactions with the residents. She made me feel at ease with the tough decision of having to put a loved one in an assisted living facility, and I knew I had made the right choice in care. I give my highest recommendation to Stone Crest! Thank you Virginia and staff for all your compassion and care you provide.

I have read the reviews left by others regarding Stone Crest and if I could give a 10 star rating, I would. I lost my mother last week. She was a resident at Stone Crest for just shy of 3 years. When it was time to place my mom I had researched many other facilities for several months and I always returned to my original choice of Stone Crest. They have a beautiful facility, a caring christian staff, excellent doctors and their employees are well trained and compassionate. My mother and I were accepted by all of the staff members and treated like family. I did not have to worry about my mother,s care when I was not there. I knew she was being treated well. My mother needed a lot of attention this past year and she got everything she needed and more. The staff treated her as if she were their own mother. The meals provided are nutritious and appealing. If a resident does not like something, you just need to ask the kitchen to make something else and they would gladly do so. Perhaps if the people who provided negative reviews for Stone Crest had done volunteer work there as I have done, they would see how loving, efficient and dedicated the staff there really are. They go above and beyond each and every day. Negativity breeds negativity and I choose to take the high road and try to be part of the solution to help fix a problem. Many of the staff took time out of their busy day to attend my mom's funeral and were there for me to provide moral support. Their love and support has gotten me thru many a dark day. My mom's journey was a long and at times difficult one and I could not have gotten through it without the love and support of everyone who worked there. Thank you, I am truly appreciate the ability to get to know each and every one of you.

My friend and I stopped in the other day to check on her mother and I was very surprised at how beautiful it was. As you walk up there are beautiful flowers and a fountain. When we walked in we were greeted the staff was so friendly. The only reason I do not give this place 5 stars is because of the Administrator. She seems overly distracted when people are talking to her, she can't seem to give anyone the time of day. I found it very rude. I watched her do it to the employees there as well, they would be talking to her and she would look at them for a moment and then she was back to shuffling through papers or typing on the computer and I just kept thinking how frustrating that must be for them. When she wasn't in her office she was in the room across from hers laughing so loudly that I could hear her through the closed door. If you cant give people the time of day when they want to conduct business then you certainly shouldn't be joking around with other coworkers on your companies time.

The admission started out rough and it didn't get any better from there. I would give them a negative 2 if I could. We have had to address several safety issues there, none of which were resolved to our satisfaction. The staff receives no training in patient care. Their director is a non medical person. Aides are making medical decisions. Seniors left in the dinning room unattended when they clearly can not walk or maintain their own safety. Food is horrific and residents are not fed, even though they say they are fed by staff. Our family member has lost over 50 pounds in the year they have been there. So why don't we remove him from their care, because we can't find an open bed in another "reputable" facility that accepts medicaid. Believe me the search is ongoing.
