    Place looks very nice, but the staff isn't very friendly at times. I have been there and heard someone yelling "help me" over and over.....people in the dining room told a server, they said " they know" but didn't go to help. I investigated and found a lady had fell in the hallway/ doorway, asked her if she was injured, and don't move, I will get you some help. Went way up to front desk to report it, only for staff to snap at me, YES we know, we are coming. Then I heard them yell at the lady for being out in that area. How sad! My Mom has taking 2 nasty falls in her room, and not found for hours. One fall was so bad, the lump and bruise on her leg didn't go away for months...and the area still hurts her. She never got any injuries at home! My Mother has had her food snacks stole from her many times, I would stock up her frig and cupboards only to find them cleaned out a day later, reported it and staff told me, she must of ate it, nobody steals there? Really!!! It's the staff or other residents...New bottles of body wash gone, lotion gone, ice cream gone, candy gone, and mom's favorite deviled eggs we bring her all gone in a day or two. ( she has woke up in the night, and seen girls getting into her frig, taking Boost, Apple juice, eggs... candy ....and telling each other, how good it is to eat). Have reported it many times, and staff just says, Oh she just don't " remember eating all of it". Really? I just visited tonight and Mom didn't have any sheets on her bed, it has been that way for a few days, couldn't find her spare set. Her nice bathroom towels were replaced with small dirty white ragged, frayed and torn hand towels. ----she had all new towels when she moved it. What a rip off! Beware

    I have been in this facility many times visiting family and friends. I have observed residents wait very long periods of time for a staff to assist them with the restroom or other care needs. After residents have pulled their cords for help in their rooms they sometimes have to wait 45+ minutes for a staff member to respond. I have seen family members search the building for staff and have found no one to assist their family member. Many of the staff members out outside together on "smoke breaks" socially with each other while the needs of residents go unmet. This is completely unacceptable, especially with the extremely high rates Sunrise of Cascade charges residents for care. Deb Rost, I would STRONGLY encourage you to rectify this situation unless you want a visit/investigation from the state licensing agency and the local long-term care ombudsman. Be aware that the family and friends of residents are watching VERY closely as to what goes on in your facility.
