I come into Clare Bridge as an outside vendor. Clare Bridge has some exceptional people working for them. They even provide education to those who need the extra training and/or want to improve. Management is patient and caring with the residents and as stated in the other comment, you often do find residents in management offices or walking through the building with a resident. Clare Bridge is a locked Dementia unit and as in all Dementia units there is at times a litttle chaos. I believe the staff at Clare Bridge truly love their jobs and the residents they care for. I believe families find comfort in the staff and I have on more then one occasion seen a family specifically request Carolyn when in need. I see this review written on Nov. 9th as an individual not coping well with the decline of a parent and venting some undue aggression at an available target. I hope she is able to find peace in her fathers status and eventually realize that Clare Bridge of Delta is/was not who she truly was feeling emotional about. In conclusion, I would just like to state that I think Clare Bridge of Delta is worth looking into if your searching for home to get your loved one the care that requires this kind of attention. No individual, can physically care for their loved one at home by themselves twenty four hours a day. Unfortunately, unless your super human you sometimes have to look for help to care for a family member with a chronic illness. There probably is not a "perfect" place out there, but I have witnessed this building trying very hard. I hope this is helpful. --RN

My mom has been at Clarebridge since July of 2009. Carolyn was the first person my dad and I met during our initial tour of the building. She made us feel at home and helped to ease the stress and sadness we were feeling. In the subsequent months Carolyn has remained the same cheerful and positive person she was when we first met her. We've also found that when either one of us arrives for a visit Carolyn welcomes us and is happy to see us. If not for Carolyn my mom's transition to her new surroundings, daily routines and new relationships would not gone as smoothly as it has.

my mother, brother and I came to see Carolyn at Clarebridge Delta memory care. We needed A place for my dad to come to. She filled our heads with so many lies it was disrespectful. We asked her if we put him in would he get his normal weekly CBC for low platelets and if low would he get his N-Plate shot. She said no problem. Then she said we would need a 2 week notice if we want to take him out. There is more. She did this while reading us the contract.. She said it would'nt get over $5000. These were only some of the lies. After she wrangled us into this They lost his glasses with in a week. He had someone elses glasses. they lost a hearing aide too. After a few days they had completely lost our trust. He was only in there for 2 weeks. They never returned our calls. I think Carolyn would make a great politician. She has no compasion. All I kept hearing at the beginning was "This is for you Gloria[my mom]. this is so you can get on with you life and relax. My mother never slept the whole 2 weeks. Now he is in a place that really cares. I see a big difference. So to everyone out there go for the smaller facility you will get so much better care and not the lying. It would be nice if someone would come up with his glasses so he can be buried with them. After all he has always worn them. I'm sure you really don't care. Thanks for nothing. I have been working with ClareBridge of Delta for over a year. It is a WONDERFUL establishment! The staff is super, sometimes being a dementia unit things can get alittle harry but the staff is always so calm and gentle with everyone. Carolyn is the best there is. She is wonderful with residents, she obviously has some dementia training because she knows how to deal with a dementia patient even in the middle of a melt down. You often see Carolyn walking thru the building doing her work holding a residents hand or you stop in her office and several residents are sitting in her office with her and she is able to interact with them calmly, seemingly unphased by them while she continues to get her work done. Nothing ever seems to upset her, she just so easily rolls with the interesting days of working in a dementia lock down unit. Regarding this other review...... this resident was there 3 weeks I remember him, he was getting along great. I think the review below is crazy I mean who would break their own HIPAA violation and tell the world so much info about their loved ones. TOO WEIRD!! Complaining about glasses being missing?? Mr Frederiksen walked all over the place. There is a drawer there FULL of glasses that have been found laying around! These residents have dementia! Maybe she better do some research on Dementia, just to clarify--- Dementia means the individual has limited cognition! They sometimes take their clothes off and walk away, glasses off and walk away, teeth out and walk away or they take these things into others rooms and stick their stuff in others residents drawers.
