    We where looking for placement for my father, it was a very hard decision to move him from home, we worried about how he would adjust to new surroundings. A friend highly recommend Wellington House. We check the reviews like we did with other facilities. And still decide to visit the Wellington House. We was greeted with nice staff, ( that was a+) Abbey Rauf (administrator) welcome us with a tour of the building. I was very impressed with the staff and department heads. I was expecting to see the worst after reading reviews. Resident having activities, Residents was very happy and dressed. (Not in bed) a+. We did decided to place my father at Wellington House, he has been there for 2 months now. He is very happy and really enjoying the food and staff ?.. my family is happy. Thank you so much Wellington House. I know sometime my dad can be a hand full Gerry.

    The staff at Wellington house is attentive and helpful. This building is under new management, and has completely changed for the better. Recommended for your loved ones great care facility.

    Do not send your loved ones to this facility. The only reason they have one star is because -10 is not allowed. Each resident has a personal account where $66/month is set aside in an account for their personal needs. My mother was transferred to another facility 3 months ago. I have repeatedly requested the money from her personal account and still have not received it. I get nothing but lies from Abbey Rauf. She hides behind her office door and has someone come out and ask you what you want before she will acknowledge you. She mostly ignores me but when she does respond it is all lies. She finally told me on September 13th that the check was "processed". Still no check! NC Medicaid law says that all money must be refunded within 30 days. It has been 90 days. I filed a complaint with Affinity's home office but got no acknowledgement at all. They cannot keep this money! Medicaid officials are involved now. My mother needs new clothes and they, for some reason, are holding on to the money that is rightfully hers. Wonder how many other time they have done this to residents. Perhaps it is because I told Abbey that I don't believe a word she says. Well, I stand by that statement. I do not believe a word she says. If her family member is there and transferred please be aware of this and don't let them get by with this. I will not stop and will take this wherever it needs to go to get resolution. I haven't even began to discuss other issues regarding her care. Sherry Weaver

    I would not send any family member to this place. My Aunt was there. Her family finally moved her to another place. She is doing so much better. I dont believe she was being well taken care of at this place.

    employee at Wellington House, I have been a team member since 1month now. My past work history Nursing Home 10 yrs. Experience. What makes Wellington House so special the care they have for the residents and the compassion they show. Administration (abyei) has a open door policy for all staff and residents, it's funny sometimes , how abyei has the patience to listen to things residents say and believe me she is always listening ? Activitie department always doing activities with the residents. The staff always willing to do what ever it takes to make the residents happy. Memory Care director always showing team work and address any concerns. I'm so happy to be a part of the Wellington House team. Thank guys for accepting me!!!
