If you are not able to be involved and advocate for your family member then don't take them here. They will not get good care without constant family supervision and advocacy. Between my sister, brother and myself we have had to make sure our momis being treated well on a constant basis. What's disturbing is some of the issues stem from a general attitude by some staff. She has not always been treated with the utmost respect that she deserves and has often been manipulated to suit their convenience. Medications and treatment have to be constantly overseen. Even getting a working phone in her room took weeks, and her original request was directly to the owner/director who apparently never followed up. It took an aggressive phone call from out of town to get it resolved. Also, the food disgusting (as my mom puts it). For as much money as it costs to live there you would think they could get better quality food. Much of it is from GFS.
