I was recently at Legacy for 10 days for PT for my left hip. The therapy department is excellent. All therapists were professional, thorough, pleasant and very kind. I made good progress. The facility was very, very clean. The food was above average. They make great BLT's - better than any I have ever had in any restaurant. The nursing staff and aides were attentive and pleasant, except for one aide I had one night at 2:00 am, not so great. She needs to find a different job. I did not spend much time in the activities department since I was not there that long. I did talk with the Director, Doreen, and she was so friendly and cheerful. She told me quite a lot about the on -sight and off-site activities. They sounded very nice - bingo, musical entertainment, jewelry making, etc. Though there is no place like home, all in all my stay there was good.

My mom was admitted to the Skilled Nursing Wing of Legacy Place in Twinsburg in October of 2017. My siblings and I have been adjusting to the demands of our mother for awhile and at times it can be challenging. More than once while at Legacy Place, we were present when our mother asked for coffee with 6 sugars, and a crank up of the heat, more coffee, warmer socks, hotter oatmeal etc. etc. Every time her requests were met. The nurses were genuinely kind and caring and after several days, my mom had built up a rapport with a few of the nurses and staff members. I live an hour from Legacy Place and at first I was worried my mom would need me and I wouldn't be there. My concerns were unwarranted as she was just fine. She was in great hands. My mother loves to complain. She thrives on it. The woman didn't have a care in the world while she was there. She sat in her bed happily, watching FOX News eating and offering up her chocolate covered cherries. While there, she needed assistance using the bathroom and being cleaned up when she didn't quite make it. On one occasion, I spotted a fecal leak. My mom wasn't even aware. While one staff member assisted in the restroom, another tended to the bed. All of her needs were met and then some. We could hear a roommate with whom my mom shared just a door. The roommate rang for assistance often. I wasn't there every moment of the day, but while I was there, I felt her needs were being met above and beyond as well. I am certain if the need were to arise for my mom to be admitted back into a Skilled Facility we would select Legacy Place of Twinsburg.

I have had a good experience thus far. Moms nurses seem nice and she has been happy with her care to this point. I would say that on admission there was no communication between the ambulance service and the nursing staff which caused a lag time in triage care but once I made them aware of the situation they promptly came to her room and she was handled with respect and care. I blame the ambulance service for this situation. I have has a great experience with the aids who work here. They have all had smiles and were very respectful and professional. I found mom's room to be clean and the facility to be odor free.

Visited my 83 yr old mother there. She says food is excellent tasty. Staff nurses etc. All good sometimes a wait. But if you hit the call button they are there. Helping. New nurses and aids more experienced nurses and aids. That's what make things happen. You may get someone new. The place is almost spotless. Very home atmosphere. My mom likes it calls it her new apartment. If she's happy. Then kudos. To legacy place management staff and all those involved

The pt staff was excellent, the nursing staff was awful, rude and clueless.. I was admitted there and was put into a room for 2 hrs before a nurse even came down to talk to me. The 1st person I met was Vera the dietary aide who introduced herself and was very kind and helpful. The day I was discharged, they kicked me out of the room because someone else was already assigned to it.. They didn't even give me instructions on how to administer my medicines when I went home... I was in a full panic attack by the time I left there... Sad..if this is how they treat someone who is aware of their surroundings, makes me wonder how they treat someone who isn't able to speak up for themselves.
