this is a terrible facility!! it should be shut down until they have new management and employees!! the residents deserve better care then what they are getting here!! I would put ZERO stars for this place but it doesn't let you post your review unless you click at least one.

Our experience has been good, our mother does have alzhemers and dementia, so its always a challenge. I do feel that they do try to keep us updated and on top of things. Of course you always think some thing might be better, but overall they are at this time doing a great job.

The Willowbrook nursing facility is absolutely gorgeous and clean. I left my 90 year old mom with slight dementia in the care of this facility who ASSURED me that mom would be taken care of. I specifically wrote instructions for mom and communicated the directions to the Director and the nurse. Everyone I was told got a copy. I knew when I left and her roommate told me to close the door, the nightmare would begin. I had my cousin check on mom the second and third day and my mother knew enough to say to my cousin "you have to do things on your own here". My cousin said the 2nd and 3rd day mom had the same outfit on (now 3 days in a row!!!!). My cousin found my mother without any glasses or teeth in her mouth playing bingo at 2:30 in the afternoon!!! So this meant she ate breakfast and lunch without any teeth!!!!. I pick mom up and she is sitting the chair in the main room with her footie's (purple and white stripes) on her feet stuffed in her shoes with the wound she has on her left foot exposed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She had a hard time walking up to her room so I took her shoes off her feet. I go to pack up her clothes and see how many depends were used in 4 days ONLY AFTER I see a huge stain on her white pajama bottoms from urine. I get her in the bathroom grab a towel to wipe my moms private area and it was so yellow I almost threw up! the nurse told me she wouldn't take a shower????? since when do you give someone an option??? BTW she had the same outfit on for 4 days!!!!!!! all the other outfits were never touched. I specifically told the director and the nurse mom needed CUES! no one listened. If your mom has her memory at 100 percent and can walk; this is the place for her. My mom dresses herself but doesn't have sense of time and needs to be told what to do. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED, I AM AT A LOSS FOR WORDS. It was my first time for respite care. They all told me and assured me they would help mom get ready. No one did a friggin thing! She used 2 depends in 4 days. I learned a lot from a horrible experience.
