My wife spent a couple weeks at this facility. She really liked the physical rehabilitation group she felt they were very good. The place seems like it has not been remodeled since the mid '70's and was not clean. Additionally they are very slow to answer call bells most of the day. My wife once had to call me at home and have me call there to get them to respond. In all it was not a very good experience for us.

Most of staff is very unfriendly and seem miserable. Not all staff is like this, but the number of staff members that seem to not like their job and seem to treat the patients just like patients and not like actual human beings outweighs the number of staff that actually seem to like their jobs and actually have the characteristic of going above and beyond to make the patients feel welcomed and like a human being. My heart breaks to think about what those patients go through with some of the staff members. I know this can happen anywhere, but if you want your family member to have a great experience while staying in a facility like this, don't take them here. There are other places out there that have kind-hearted staff that will treat your loved one like a human being.

Staff is wonderful, just not enough of them per patient ratio.. But I love them all.. They are compassionate and loving towards all their patients.. I'm here for rehab and not one of your seniors, so I can really see what's going on 24/7

So my Father is dying from stage 4 bone cancer. We tried to get him into this facility but they would not take him because he was receiving chemo. As he progressed and had not received chemo and we tried again because this is closer to where we live they said he was still receiving chemo. I emailed the letter from the Dr. at the cancer center stating he was not receiving chemo any longer and had not Since August 7th (see letter below). He was taken to hospice this Friday 5/9/2018 and we tried a 3rd time to place him here. They would not take him because of our previous conversations where I called them out based on the truth. The girl got snippy with me and would not even acknowledge the letter from the Dr's office. 11/11/2017 Mr. Solman, Upon close examination of the information provided, St. John's will be unable to accept your father's application. This decision was reviewed with the Director and Assistant director of the facility. This decision is a financial denial regarding Mr. Solman's cancer medications and cost. The information provided by Saxony it has been noted that Mr. Solman just received his cancer treatment a week and a half ago. This treatment is still currently active and has not been discontinued by a provider, therefore documentation needed to support that claim that he is no longer in treatment is unable to be provided. Best Regards,Missy Watson See photo attached of the Dr's Letter. This place is ALL about the Money!! Stay away!!!!
