" What's not to love about Plush Mills!" This is a recurrent thought throughout the year and a half I've lived here! It's all about me, every effort is made to accommodate me! From breakfast to bedtime and every minute in between! Some day we may be neighbors ! Schedule a tour to find out for yourself!

My mother and father came here when they were 96. My dad died and my mother stayed. They wanted her to have 24/7 care which she did not need. It would have cost $25,000 a month. We would not consider this so we received a letter 3 days later saying that she had to be out in 30 days between Thanksgiving and Christmas and she's 98. Really? Absolutely heartless and I'm lucky she survived the stress. She's now at another place and doing great. She goes to the bathroom, showers and walks by herself and she doesn't have 24/7 care. She'll be 99 next month. Sad this happened because she loved the place, but it's all about money here. How do you throw a 98 year old out at the holidays. If this happened to my mother, how many others does this happen to??

Truthfully, I love Plush Mills. Many wait to come here until they need to come, but when they do they miss the best reason to move here - it's for the people you meet here. New people come in every week. Years ago, Bill and Joan Hooper moved in and Bill became my best friend. Three years later, Bill died and then my wife Mary died and Joan and I started "dating" - my first "date"since I was 15! We have been married now for almost three years. I never would have met either of them if I wasn't living here. So if you are thinking about your future and where you might live, be sure to check out the people who are living there. Many of them will become your new, best friends. Plush Mills is just the right size to meet people - not too large and not too small.
