About Village At Waterman Lake-Lp
Perhaps like many Rhode Islanders you are familiar with The Village at Waterman Lake, the state's largest catered retirement and assisted living community overlooking breathtaking Waterman Lake in Greenville, but what you may be surprised to learn is that despite our idyllic location, superior hospitality, and 5-star amenities, The Village at Waterman Lake is actually competitively priced. As part of the basic monthly rent, residents enjoy carefully prepared meals, housekeeping services, chauffeured transportation, and a full activities calendar that includes pub parties, socials, cultural outings and much more. First class nursing services are available should you need them, along with an on-site physician, outpatient rehabilitation provided by Milestone Rehabilitation, and a full range of other services.
Residents enjoy breathtaking lake views from The Village at Waterman Lake's picturesque campus situated on a 30-acre wooded hilltop. Beautifully landscaped grounds provide the setting for fitness and leisure, including a nine-hole putting green, Bocce court, nature trail, gardens, and greenhouses. Walking paths and gazebos grace The Courtyard grounds, while Chalet and Lodge residents can enjoy the tranquil scenery from the many terraces and club rooms. And residents can savor Waterman Lake's beauty up-close on Village boat rides, be it with a rod and reel in hand or perhaps a glass of chilled wine and a good book.
The Village interiors combine gracious elegance, homey comfort and practical convenience, all with a remarkable attention to detail. The campus boasts an authentic English pub, lovely English tea room, charming clubrooms, extensive libraries, elaborate private dining rooms, hair salons, spa, and beautifully decorated common areas. The elegant main dining rooms offer seasonal patio dining with a year-round view of the campus in all its splendor.
Founded in 1990, this family-owned and operated community has earned a reputation for excellence that is second to none. Village residents choose from a variety lifestyle options including catered retirement living in The Chalet, catered assisted living in The Lodge, assisted living for people with Alzheimer's in The Courtyard, and skilled nursing available to Waterman Lake residents in our Atrium.
The Village at Waterman Lake offers the perfect blend of hospitality and healthcare, delivered by an expertly trained staff. In fact, our caring and professional team here at The Village is our most treasured asset. The dedication and commitment of our staff is simply unparalleled. Everyday they inspire us with their tireless energy and passion for what they do.
Our Activities team certainly exemplifies that energy and passion when it comes to coordinating an Activities program that truly enhances our residents' quality of life. Each building has its own Activities Director, who meets with residents monthly to hear comments, ideas, and suggestions on the overall activities program. The Activities Director then uses this feedback to plan and develop the monthly Activities calendar. The result is a full and diverse activities program that is always evolving.
Tried and true favorites include Music on the Hill, our summer concert series, the Autumn Festival, and our beloved Armed Forces Day Salute. Live performances in all genres of entertainment, and regular theater outings are just some of the ways residents remain culturally and artistically active. Monthly Theme Luncheons, birthday celebration, socials, and pub events as well as seasonal events like the New Year's Celebration, Valentine's Cruise, St Patty's party, Spring Fling, Mardi Gras Festival, Southwestern BBQ, Sparkling Snowflakes Gift Show, and Holiday Gatherings are just some of the opportunities residents have throughout the year to get dolled up or to kick up their heels.
And of course our Village outings to places like Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, Colt State Park, Sturbridge Village, Providence Performing Art Center, RI Philharmonic, Newport Playhouse, Pawtucket Red Sox, La Salette Shrine and various area hot spots and eateries are a regular part of the monthly Activities calendar as well. Call today to see why The Village at Waterman Lake has earned a reputation that is second to none.

My mother was a resident at the Village at Waterman Lake from November 2016 until February 2019. She was in the Courtyard and later in the Atrium. I felt that she was well taken care of and treated with dignity and respect. Her room was extremely clean every day and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer plenty of activities including a boat ride on the lake! The skilled nursing facility staff and Hospice nurses went "above and beyond" during her last days in the Atrium. I will always be thankful that my mom was in good hands.

My Aunt resided in the Macoun Wing in the Courtyard. I can't even begin to say how pleased we were with the care she received. EVERYONE who worked with her was compassionate, gentle and very caring. The facility is very clean and modern. I would give this facility more than 5 stars. I knew she was in great hands for the 4 + years she lived there.
