Comforts of Home is a great place to work! The care teams are loving and compassionate towards the residents and families. They really try to get to know what the residents enjoy to give them the best quality of care and life possible! The company owner's and operators are wonderful people that truly care about their employees. They have high standards and expectations of their teams which is a must for exceptional quality of care for the residents.

Comforts of Home in Menomonie have 2 buildings. One for Memory care and one for assisted living. Both with an exceptional homey & warm feel as you walk in the door. They always seem to have a fun activity going on. From car shows, bands, Ice cream socials and more! Because it's a care facility and not a nursing home, anyone who'd like to work with people one on one can apply, no CNA is required. The company will train all of their employees. The staff at Comforts have always been very helpful and loving. My in laws have lived there for over 3 years and absolutely love it. Thank you Comforts of Home for taking care of them.

No stars for Comforts of Home Memory Care from my family! They hugely misrepresented their abilities. The memory care unit is terribly understaffed with poorly qualified (though nice) people. On weekends, they only have 2 staff members for 40 residents! Those staff members are not even CNA's; they have minimal training and none of it in actual nursing. My mother moved there to be closer to us, in Menomonie. She was there for just under 3 weeks and fell 3 times (twice requiring an ambulance to the hospital) after not having had a fall for many months at her previous home (Colfax Health & Rehab). She moved back to Colfax several weeks ago and has not fallen a single time since. ***My family and I strongly urge you to find a different facility if your loved one needs ANY help beyond very basic babysitting-type oversight.*** The staff at Comforts of Home are well-intentioned and seem very nice, but they simply don't have adequate training nor expertise.

Management gets fat while their under staffed employees do all the work with no lunch breaks.

Very bad management...they care more bout certain staff than they do bout the residents. Unexplained controlled narcs went missing from the office cuz they decided to leave the office while both managers went shopping. Plz think hard before moving ur loved ones here or before getting a job there
